January and March 99 issues of Prevention magazine recommended Oregon Grape Root for psoriasis. We have tried it with great success. We determined that the proper dosage would come out a 2 1/2 teaspoons per day. We also diluted Oregon Grape Root extract in Herbal Trim to apply to the psoriasis outbreaks. The recommended time for use is very long--they stated that results do not show up for six months and to keep using it as long as 2 to 2 1/2 years. This is not my idea, but the instructions of the herbalist listed in the magazine. So we have been on the program for six months. There are still outbreaks but very light and short lasting. No more deep cracks in the skin.
