I took Wild Yam for birth control. I took 3 in the morning and 3 at night. It was VERY effective until I forgot to take it, but we were talking about having a baby anyway. Also, during that year, it helped immensely with other female concerns. My sister-in-law also tried to take it while nursing--the baby didn't like the milk as much. I haven't tried it yet while I am nursing.
